Jeremy Roberts - Chairman & Co-Founder

A Cornishman growing up in Mevagissey and Gorran Haven Jeremy developed a love of where he lives from an early age with nature being a big part of that. This continued through studying for a BSc In Environmental Studies to a MSc in Global Aquatic Biodiversity Conservation and Monitoring.

He has previously worked for the University of West Indies, Environmental Consultants, The European Centre For Nature conservation in the Netherlands and finally Naturescot where he was Partnership Manager for the Solway Firth Partnership.

The pull of Cornwall lead him to return in 2008 to help run the family business in Mevagissey and in 2017 Rob Wells and himself were approached by Cornwall Wildlife Trust to see if they would be interested in setting up a community wildlife group in area which would become part of the Your Shore Network of Local Groups. That group became Three Bays Wildlife now a registered charity, working towards thriving nature in the area of which Jeremy has been chairman from the beginning.

He is an avid waterman participating in in most activities on or above the sea including Surfing, Bodyboarding, Diving, snorkeling, rock pooling, swimming and more. If not by the sea you’re likely to find him on a Badminton Court or in the Pub.

Nick Taylor

I have always been passionate about nature and am increasingly concerned about the decline in wildlife caused by human activities.  After a career in science and engineering, I wanted to play a part in protecting wildlife locally and joined Three Bays soon after it was formed.  I am currently a trustee.  I am also a member of the White River Project, which is seeking to create positive change for people and wildlife in the catchment.  My partner and I have been monitoring water quality and invertebrate numbers in the river since 2019.
